Siddharth Malhotra’s action film with Remo D’Souza to go on floors by year-end

Siddharth  Malhotra  will soon make an appearance in yet another film by Karan Johar, an untitled action-adventure movie. For the film, the Dharma Productions chief has teamed up with UTV and has also roped in Remo D’Souza to develop the film. An industry insider recently revealed, “Although the details are being kept under wraps, the genre will be similar to that of the hit Hollywood film franchise, The Fast and the Furious. Siddharth’s role will be very different from how he was seen in SOTY.”

From what we’ve learned, this film is somewhat inspired by The Fast and The Furious franchise. The film will include fast cars, lots of action and of course, scores of pretty women! “Remo, Karan and his team are constantly meeting and working on the script. It’s too early to reveal anything, but all we can say is that the action will revolve around cars,” says a source. Remo said, “The film will go on the floors by year-end.”

Previously, Siddharth Malhotra took the big-screen by storm with his debut appearance in the film Student of the Year, a Karan Johar directorial venture. The 28-year-old actor rose to stardom with the film, playing the lead alongside two more newcomers, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. Now, after a very successful Bollywood debut, Siddharth Malhotra has signed his next film, Hasee Toh Phasee, alongside Parineeti Chopra. The actor has chosen to stay under his mentor-director’s wing and will star in the aforementioned romantic comedy produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Vinil Mathew.

Shooting for Remo’s film will begin after Hasee Toh Phasee is wrapped up.

Alia Bhatt, who is now just 20-years-old, seems to have had a dream debut with the Karan Johar film. Even though she belongs to the Bhatt camp that has its own production house, Vishesh Films, Alia decided to step away from home territory and make her debut her own. “My father did not have a problem at all. He was very close to Yash (Johar) Uncle. He is happy because he knew this is the kind of space I fit into. I am very young and fresh right now and Karan is the best to groom me. He knows I am in good hands,” said Alia in an interview a while ago.

The actress has no qualms of starring in a film by her home production however and also said, “I love their (Vishesh Films’) films. But that doesn’t mean I love all their films. There are films that I don’t like and I tell them about it too but there are films that I love as well.”
Up ahead, the actress will be seen starring in the lead in Karan Johar’s film adaptation of author Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller, 2 States. Apart from this, Alia has also signed a project with filmmaker Imtiaz Ali.

A model-turned-actor, Siddharth malhotra  recently stepped back on the ramp for designer Manish Malhotra’s collection titled ‘Threads of Emotions’ at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Autumn-Winter 2013. The actor walked alongside Esha Gupta and Jacqueline Fernandez and received a thundering applause from the audience, particularly female attendees who simply couldn’t stop cheering for the dashing 28-year-old actor.

Speaking about his showstoppers, Manish said, “Esha, Jacqueline and Sidharth are young, energetic and spirited and my collection is about these three things,” adding, Last two years, I promoted Kashmir thread and zari work and chikankari from Mijan, a small village in Uttar Pradesh. WIFW is just the beginning. The idea is to focus on craftsmanship and showcase it to various fashion weeks by roping in celebrities, thus making it more popular.”

Siddharth Malhotra seems to be capturing the B-town in its entirety with his charm and good looks. The actor will next be seen in two upcoming projects, Karan Johar’s Hasee Toh Phasee and Ekta Kapoor’s The Villain.

Natasha is his friend and people mistook her for his girlfriend. He’s been single for a long time now. Varun has a lot of prep work for his forthcoming films so he’s only focusing on his career now. “I was not fashion conscious before I met Karan Johar. After meeting him, I became fashion conscious,” the 19-year-old said. Speaking about just how she bagged the role for the film, Alia Bhatt recently stated in an interview, “I got a call from Dharma Productions asking for my pictures. Then I met Karan (Johar) and he asked me to audition for the role. By then Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra were already on board. Karan told me I had to lose weight. He put me on a diet program with Zarine Watson. Five months later we did a test shoot. I still remember the day when Karan gifted me this giant cup cake. I was busy gorging on it, when he told my mom that he would be directing the film and wanted me for the lead role.”

Known as one of Bollywood’s finest romantic actors of the days gone by, Rishi Kapoor plays a bold and eccentric character. The actor donned the role of a gay college dean named Yogendra Vasisht. Set in the campus of the St. Teresa’s High School in Dehradun, Student of the Year was the DharSOTY (3)ma Productions chief’s latest blockbuster. One of India’s most prestigious educational academies, the school plays home to students from rich and influential families as well as those from the middle class, nicknamed the “Bata” gang. In the film, Varun Dhawan plays Rohan Nanda, the Nanda Industries scion and the most popular hunk on the campus. Rohan is seen dating the campus sweetheart, Shanaya Singhania, played by Alia Bhatt. Things come to a grinding halt for Rohan however, when Abhimanyu Singh aka Abhi (Siddharth Malhotra) enrolls at the school on a sports scholarship. Hailing from a middle class background, his style and attitude manages to grab the spotlight from Rohan who in turn reciprocates with jealousy. The two however befriend each other due to circumstances and become best friends.

The plot takes a twist when Abhi falls in love with Shanaya, despite knowing the fact that she is dating Rohan. The school’s gay and overly-enthusiastic dean Yogendra Vasisht (Rishi Kapoor) then announces the Student of the Year competition, causing the trio to lock horns and compete for the trophy. When Karan Johar first gave the world a look at his upcoming film, “Student of the Year”, on Twitter, the poster set tinsel-town abuzz. Posted by Karan himself, the image features three students wearing identical t-shirts with their names on their backs. As expected, this Karan Johar directorial venture was termed a hit. Released on the 19th of October, 2012, the film starred Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. Abhimanyu Singh (Siddharth) enrolls at a well-heeled school with students hailing from some of the richest families around, unlike his own middle-class background. A sportsman by heart, his background does not keep Abhi from quickly turning into the center of attention, stealing the spotlight from Rohan Nanda (Varun), the son of a business tycoon.

As expected, a rivalry ensues. Situations bring the two foes together however as Abhi and Rohan become best friends. Meanwhile, Abhi is introduced to Shanaya Singhania (Alia), the prettiest girl at school. Despite the fact that his best friend Rohan is Shanaya’s boyfriend, Abhi finds himself falling head over heels for her. Unknowingly, Shanaya too begins reciprocating his feelings. When her boyfriend Rohan stumbles across the truth, his friendship with Abhi comes to an abrupt end.
